Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)- Combined forces of Ethiopian and Somali come under attack from their foe at the former ex-prison ward building in the suburbs of Mogadishu Somalia.
The latest reports from the area say that the battle started after islamist forces raided at a checkpoint in the area where joint Ethiopian and Somali government soldiers were stationed.
The islamist forces took a brief control of the checkpoint after the have lashed out the government soldiers.
The fight later on rose up when Ethiopian troops who were at a place, which was not far from the area, invaded the fight.
The roaring of the weapons, which both sides were exchanging, could be heard in the areas, which are far from the battle venue.
A driver who was driving along Afgoi and Mogadishu road and requested his not to be revealed told Somaliweyn radio that he has seen the bodies of Somali government soldier laying on the ground.
Within the time of the combat all the movements of the road froze due to the flying bullets.
So far the exact number of causalities from both the warring sides and the civilians living in the vicinity is not clear
